Golpe de Río is an artistic collective from Bogotá, bringing together young and seasoned artists from different regions of Colombia. They focus on the interpretation and embodiment of Tambora, a tradition from Colombia’s Momposina depression.
The collective fosters formative spaces where the body, memory, and oral storytelling merge to contribute to the preservation of intangible heritage and the strengthening of social bonds. Through concerts, workshops, and cultural events, they pass on the traditional music and dances of Colombia’s Caribbean region to new generations, combining fresh, innovative lyrics with the essence of bailes cantaos.
