Mónica Giraldo is a Colombian singer-songwriter with six albums under her belt. A Latin Grammy nominee and two-time Billboard Award winner, her Latin folk sound is rooted in the guitar, her voice, the cadence of the Colombian Caribbean, and Latin American classics. Her music catalog includes over 50 songs and 30 music videos.
Latin critics have praised her work, likening it to artists such as Norah Jones, Marisa Monte, and Julieta Venegas. In 2023, she toured the northeastern United States, performing in New York City (Lincoln Center), Boston, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia. She also released her single La Casa en el Árbol and performed at the Cordillera Latin American Music Festival. Her most recent album, Hubo un Tiempo (2021), was recognized as one of the most significant albums of the year by El Espectador.
Mónica has performed at Hay Festival Cartagena, Teatro Julio Mario Santo Domingo, Barranquijazz, and other festivals in Colombia and abroad, including the U.S., Mexico, France, and Japan. A Berklee College of Music alumna and its Colombian Ambassador, she has collaborated with artists such as Totó La Momposina and Mafalda Veiga (Portugal).
